Release notes

What changed in each TenuVault release.

TenuVault ships on two channels. The full notes for every build, including installers, are on the GitHub releases page.

An installed app stays on the channel it came from and updates itself from that channel. See Install and update TenuVault.

0.1.0 preview (nightly builds, September 2026)

TenuVault 0.1.0 has not had a stable release yet. The nightly builds leading up to it added the following.

Administrative Templates backups now include definition and presentation values, and a backup that cannot read them is marked incomplete instead of looking complete.
Backups stored in Azure are encrypted on your device before upload and tied to their tenant, storage account and path.
You can import a backup from a ZIP file. The contents are reviewed before they are saved, and importing never changes Intune.
Background launch keeps scheduled backups running while you are signed in to your computer, even after you close the window.

Recovery readiness shows, before you restore, which items can be restored automatically and which need manual steps.
Restoring to another tenant supports mapping app and app category dependencies.
Graph throttling is retried automatically, and a write with an unknown outcome is recorded so you can reconcile it in Restore write history instead of sending it twice.

Framework coverage is versioned, saves your workspaces, and records the evidence behind each result.

On Windows, signing in through the Windows account broker no longer asks you to sign in again right after connecting.
The confirmation shown when you remove a tenant now describes exactly what happens: backups are kept and nothing in the tenant changes.
